I just want to live with all of these wonderful things. First I am drawn to chairs because designers seem to come up with some of the most interesting propositions for us. For instance, take the chair by Donald Knorr and the Rag chair by Tejo Remy. Do I really want to sit in these? Who cares! If they are interesting and/or attractive, I’m curious…and that’s what counts. The PK 11 by Poul Kjaerholm is beautifully crafted. As a graphic designer I can appreciate a design that engages the negative space. It’s nice when design has a sense of humor and Droog seems to always test the limits! I love how Rody Graumans’ 85 lamps chandelier is a big bundle of light bulbs. Finally there is the plant stand by Achille Castiglioni that looks like a little creature; I love the color and the playful way in which the stand will interact with the plants I will put on it.
